Why wasn’t that fixed? (timezones in ubuntu 8.04).

According to Linuxformat the latest ubuntu release still has the wonky timezone selection. From the way the article is phrased this might be a gnome issue, but for such a polished distro it’s a glaring screw up.

Phew!

Thought I had lost my DS browser card, but I actually put it away.

Qwest doesn’t inject stupid stuff….. yet.

This has been floating around the ‘nets for a while. I finaly got around to trying it and passed on all the tests, which is nice. I figured qwest would be into this silly injecting ads stuff but they’re not. They’re also the one telcom that, at least on the surface, denied the illegal wiretapping that was going on. They’ve also had all sorts of financial problems over the years. But at least they were not spying on me (publicly)!

Cause of death: rounding errors.

Jkdefrag Gui virus alerts.

Apr 03, 2008 @ 04:11 pm by Administrator

Ran into a fun one today. Getting ready to reboot inorder to try wubi and figured I’d get the defrag on while I was at it. But avg kept telling me jkdefraggui is a virus. I’m not the only one that’s had this problem. Turns out the latest version, 101, works fine though. Near as I can tell this is a false positive. Annoying though.
