I’m not sure if it’s just my car, or all ’95s but whenever I took the bugger out on the highway I’d get a check engine light. Undoubtably this light would point to an EGR fault. But last time I had it in for engine work they cleaned the egr etc etc etc. Turns out the EGR transducer, the bit that makes the egr work, just floats around in the engine compartment. It’s not actually attached to anything. What I figure is that with enough vibration the transducer doesn’t work, or the wiring harness for the transducer works free just enough to cause an error. I ended up using a twistie tie and attaching it to the power steering line. No check engine light since.

It’s been ages since I’ve watched LOTR and I’m bored, so what the hell? But man, it feels like I’m trying to launch an ICBM with all the steps I have to go through to get the disc out.

My brother created a wishlist at amazon for his christmas list. He has a mirror on the list and in the bit where it shows you what other customers bought is super mario galaxy. I wonder how that thought process goes, “I have the mirror now…… maybe I should get super mario galaxy!”

I mentioned before the wonderfull autostitch program. But I can’t find something similar for linux. Why I like autostich is that I just jam my photos in there and click go, no mucking around. What I would like to do is have a script randomly choose and image, then the next N images, and pass those through autostitch. Doing this manualy gets some interesting results but is time consuming. Autostich isn’t scriptable as far as I can tell.

Yesterday when I was walking into loews a suv stopped, I thought he was asking for directions so I walked up to the window. He had “just picked up” some stereo equipment and they had “shipped him extra”. Which is about as bullshit as it gets. This isn’t the first time it’s happened either, do I just look scamable or something?
PS scammer guy, your girlfriend is hot and you probably shouldn’t take her around when trying to scam.
Not a fan of the lip stud but she was hot,

Since it’s a pain to connect the computer to the tv, and dad doesn’t like sitting at the computer to watch stuff I thought I’d try burning some of the documentries I had downloaded to dvd. After a lot of mucking about I found the easiest solution is nerovision express. It handles transcoding pretty well, and is smart enough to cram everything on one disc without too much fuckery. It even auto detects scene changes and makes chapters. And only takes about an hour to do the transcoding and burning!

My new computer worked great for several months, then just kinda crapped out. It’s looking like one of the memory modules is bad buuuuuuuuuuuut it’s working just fine right now. And it amazes me how well this computer can run things, it’s just blazing through some vmware installs.
