Face lifts.
It’s always interesting to see what gets a face lift. You can tell just what was important in the design stage by what actually gets fixed or changed. Case in point, the local albertson’s got a total makeover inside some years back. Everything was spruced up and moved around. This included a terribly rediculus redesign of the cashier’s area. It’s horrible now, you can’t get carts in there etc etc. That’s another hate filled rant of it’s own. The one thing that blatantly didn’t get updated is the bathrooms. They still have the old painted over chipped tile. The patched floor, and ugly sink. Why didn’t they give the bathroom an update? Because most of the time customers don’t see the bathroom. Will a shiny new bathroom make you buy more stuff? Probably not, so why bother?
I still find it interesting that they just didn’t do it though. It couldn’t have more than a few thousand dollars to spruce up the bathrooms. Sadly, I notice this stuff.
Call me kooky,
